Answers to the most common questions project managers ask while assigning translation or review tasks.

In this case, check the following:

  • If it is a live task, the user must be verified. Check the user status in the users list.
  • If the user is verified and still not showing in the list, verify that the language pair is listed in the user's language pair profile.

Go to the Users module and click Add User. Fill in the mandatory profile details, assign at least one language pair, and send the onboarding email with login credentials.

Open the user's profile and review the submitted documents/tests. When everything looks good, toggle the Verified status to ON so that the user can participate in live tasks.

Assign the user a sample task marked as Test. After submission, review the translation quality. Only mark the user as verified once the sample meets your quality threshold.

Navigate to Settings → Languages and click Add Language. Provide the language name, code, and save.

Open the user profile, switch to the Language Pairs tab, and click Add Pair. Choose the source language, target language, and skill (Translation/Review), then save.

Go to Main Tasks → Actions → Import Task (XLIFF, CSV, Excel, HTML, PHP) After uploading the file, you can see the tasks in the list. You can view the tasks if needed. Then select the tasks and again go Actions → Assign Language to add the tasks to the project and add the target languages. To Assign translators, you can go Tasks page → select the task → Actions → Assign Translators and select the translators from the list.

Note: If you are importing a XLIFF file, you need to select the XLIFF file type in the import task screen.

Create a project for the source file and add one task per target language (or use task duplication). Assign appropriate translators for each language pair and track the progress in the Tasks screen.
